Brightstar have been working with Active Black Country throughout the summer holiday to complete a sports and community programme supporting 16-24 year olds with voluntary work and experience to help build confidence and employability.

As part of this, 12 young people from the local community volunteered to carry out a successful knife sweep of Hickman Park in Bilston with the support of police officers from the Bilston and Ettingshall Neighbourhood Teams and The Partnership Office.

No offensive weapons of any sort were recovered but great to see our youth investing their time to better their community. PC Griffin said 'I have been deeply impressed with the commitment and attitude of the Young People to improve themselves and help the local community'.
